Report: Beecher spent $9,421 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Beecher Community Unit School District 200U is down 9 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Will County school district spent $10,333 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,421 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1076 to 1036.

Beecher's spending in 2016-17 was 27 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
