Analysis: University Park pays $2.53 for every $1 pensioners contribute to University Park Policemen's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.7 percent of the $569,815 the University Park Policemen's Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.53 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, University Park contributed $408,503 to the fund, which saw a $254,459 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $161,311, or 28.3 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
