Analysis: Lockport pays $4.40 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lockport Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.5 percent of the $1,730,153 the Lockport Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.40 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lockport contributed $1,410,000 to the fund, which saw a $190,344 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $320,152, or 18.5 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
