Analysis: Bolingbrook pays $3.44 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bolingbrook Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.5 percent of the $4,685,073 the Bolingbrook Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.44 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bolingbrook contributed $3,631,065 to the fund, which saw a $373,981 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $1,055,142, or 22.5 percent, in 2016.
