Will County Associate Judge Ben Braun has filed his petitions for candidacy for the Will County Circuit Court position vacated by Judge Danial Rozak, a release said.
Braun, who has served as an associate judge for 11 years, garnered 2,830 signatures on his petitions for candidacy, a figure that is nearly six times the minimum number of signatures required to be placed on the Reupublican primary ballot.
"I am tremendously grateful for the work of the 85 Republican precinct committeemen and 25 friends and family who gathered signatures from every township in the county to help put me on the ballot," Braun said in the release. "I look forward to campaigning throughout the county over the next 11 months."

Braun is seeking the Circuit Court judgeship that opened following Judge Rozak’s retirement earlier this year.
