The calls in Manhattan included 28 fires - nine structure fires, three vehicle fires and 16 other fires.
In all, the department saw $128,250 in fire loss - or about $4,580 per fire.
The department also received 91 false calls, including 15 malicious calls and 76 other false calls.
The Manhattan FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund, which has 13 active employees and two retired or inactive employees, was $30,123 positive as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $1,076 for every fire in 2016.
