The calls in Homer included 98 fires - 61 structure fires, six vehicle fires and 30 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $309,062 in fire loss - or about $3,154 per fire.
The department also received 334 false calls.
The Homer Township FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 40 active employees and six retired or inactive employees, was $516,225 positive as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $5,268 for every fire in 2016.
