The village of Homer Glen Environment Sub-Committee met Jan. 19 to provide application updates.

Minutes Village of Homer Glen ENVIRONMENT SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING

EARTH DAY-ARBORIDAY MEETING Thursday, January 19, 2017 6:30 p.m. Community Room

14240 W. 151 Street, Homer Glen IL

Call to Order Sharon Sweas called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

Roll Call; Establish Quorum

Present: Sharon Sweas, Nancy Carlson, Cathy Rehr, Margaret Sabo, and Sue Steilen (Staff Liaison).

. Public Comment (Limit to 3 minutes)

None

Old Business 1. Approval of minutes.

Margaret Sabo made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 14, 2006, meeting as amended. Second was made by Cathy Rehr. Amendment to add to 5.4 “Committee members were assigned individuals to contact for participation.”

All were in favor. Motion carried.

3. Application update

Applications have been received from the following: Crosstown Realtors (Sponsor $300) LTHS Horticulture Club Michael Dickson NuWay (Sponsor $300) Pilcher Park

. New Business

EDAD 2.017 Discussion Two programs will be offered: one from 12:00 to 1:00, and the other from 2:00 to 3:00. Sue Steilen will check with the Frog Lady, Crosstown Exotics, and Monkeys and More.

The exhibitor list was reviewed. Nancy Carlson will talk to Scott Smith about other animal presentations. Incredible Bats will be back too. Sharon Sweas will find out about horses and pony rides. Margaret Sabo is waiting to hear back from Illinois Horse Rescue. Lou Aiello will do a craft activity.

A seeking volunteers, exhibitors, and demonstrators notice will be submitted to the calendar section of the Homer Horizon.

Sharon Sweas is continuing to work on the contract with Konow Farm.

Next meeting will be held on February 16.

7. Adjournment

Margaret Sabo made a motion to adjourn. Second was made by Nancy Carlson. Meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m.
