The Lewis University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Concordia University-St. Paul in the Final Four of the NCAA Division II national tourney Dec. 9 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, according to www.lewisflyers.com.
Game scores were 25-18, 25-16, 25-16.
Junior Maddie Seliga led the Flyers with 10 kills. She also had eight digs. Freshman Caroline Stefanon and sophomore Elizabeth Hyland each had six kills, with Hyland also notching eight digs.
Sophomore setter Abby Becker had 27 assists.
The Flyers had a team hitting percentage of .176, compared to Concordia's .402.
In the quarterfinals on Dec. 8, Lewis topped Wheeling Jesuit 3-0, according to www.ncaa.com. Game scores were 25-17, 26-24, 30-28. Junior Aly Schneider posted 15 kills, senior Nicole Yuede had 28 digs, and Becker had 44 assists.
Lewis ended the season with a 29-8 record.
Concordia won the national title 3-0 over Alaska-Anchorage on Dec. 10.
