North Central College (NCC) men's soccer midfielder Jon Borzick has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III Central Region Third Team, according to the school's athletics website.
Borzick, a junior from Lindenhurst, had two goals on the season for the Cardinals, with both goals coming in NCC's 4-1 win over Illinois Tech on Oct. 15 in Chicago. He also took 24 shots, with 11 of them on goal. According to www.northcentralcardinals.com, he started the 2016 campaign in the defender position before being moved to midfielder during the season.
Previously, Borzick was placed on the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) First Team.
Last season, Borzick was an All-CCIW Second Team selection and was Academic All-CCIW his first two seasons.
He played in a total of 51 games in his first three seasons for NCC and has scored three goals and notched an assist in that span.
