North Central College (NCC) men's basketball players Alex Sorenson and Connor Raridon recently were named to D3hoops.com's NCAA Division III Preseason All-American Team, NorthCentralCardinals.com said.
Sorenson, a junior forward, was named to the first team, while Raridon, a sophomore forward, was an honorable-mention selection.
Sorenson averaged 15.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game last season while earning first-team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin honors, as well as being on the D3hoops.com All-Central Region Second Team and being a National Association of Basketball Coaches All-Central District selection. He also set an NCC record with 59 blocked shots.
Raridon averaged 13.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and a CCIW-best 4.1 assists per game in 2015-16 en route to being named the league's Freshman of the Year and the D3hoops.com Central Region Rookie of the Year, as well as being selected for the All-CCIW Second Team.
