Aurora Civil Service Commission reviews letters of correspondence

The city of Aurora Civil Service Commission met Oct. 13 to review letters of correspondence.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the commission:

"To provide the citizens of Aurora with the most qualified applicants for, and promotion to, firefighter and police officer positions, irrespective of the applicant’s race, creed, color, gender, age, national origin, or religious or political opinions or affiliations. To inspire public confidence in the Civil Service System and to afford uniformed members an opportunity for employment and promotion within uniformed positions of the Fire and Police Departments."
