The Obama administration is threatening to pull federal funding of local schools that refuse to follow Washington directives. Most recently, it ordered all public schools to allow transgender students to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity.

Among Will County school districts, Wilmington CUSD 209U ($1,283.64 per pupil) and Beecher CUSD 200U ($1,101.24 per pupil) receive more money from the federal government than District 365U.
Lockport Township HSD 205 ($345.11 per pupil) and Peotone CUSD 207U ($512.65 per pupil) receive less.
Joliet Township High School District 204 spends the most money on public schools in Will County, at $14,944 per pupil.
