The City of Joliet Public Assets Committee has scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The meeting will take place in the Executive Conference Room at City Hall, located at 150 West Jefferson Street in Joliet, Illinois.
The agenda includes several items for discussion and potential action. The committee will consider awarding payment to Cosgrove Construction Inc. for repairs and painting of the Joliet Area Historical Museum gallery ceiling. The proposed contract amount is $69,275. Additionally, the committee will review a contract with Nationwide Environmental & Demo, LLC for asbestos and lead abatement at the former Stadium Club site, totaling $227,700.
Another item on the agenda is a recommendation to approve professional services and installation related to replacing five rooftop HVAC units at Slammers Stadium. Anchor Mechanical Inc. is proposed as the contractor for this project with a cost of $242,041.80.
The meeting will also feature updates regarding Slammers Stadium and the museum under new or old business; these topics are not up for final action or recommendation during this session.
Citizens who wish to comment on agenda items may do so during designated periods of the meeting but are limited to four minutes each. The public comment section allows input on non-agenda items as well. According to city procedures: "It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Committee members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak."
