Lawrence "Larry" Arthur Zykwa | R W Patterson Funeral Homes & Crematory

Lawrence Arthur Zykwa, affectionately known as Larry, aged 87, of Wilmington, IL, passed away on September 20, 2025, at his home. Born on October 27, 1937, in Chicago, IL, to the late Leonard and Bernice Zykwa, Larry dedicated his life to service and community involvement.

A Union Electrical Inspector and Building Inspector for Alsip, IL, Larry was a proud member of the IBEW Local 134 for nearly 70 years. He served as President of the Alsip Lyons Club, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and actively participated in various community organizations, including coaching little league for over a decade.

Larry is survived by his sons Michael and Allen, daughters Valerie and Deneen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife Holly, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Visitation will be held at R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on September 26, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. and on September 27 from 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will commence at Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City with cremation rites following and inurnment in private.
