John G. Meskill | Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Homer Glen

Homer Glen, Illinois - John G. Meskill, 64, of Homer Glen and a former resident of Burbank, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Mary, and the dear step-father of Evelyn, Nathan, Zachary, and Brigid Bombard. John was the cherished son of John and Bridie Meskill, and the brother of Michael Meskill, Colleen McCarron, and the late Denis Meskill. He was a devoted uncle and great-uncle to many.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Service at 7:00 p.m. at Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Homer Glen. Interment will be private.

Known as an avid football fan, John played football for the St. Laurence Vikings, helping them reach the State Championship during his time there. He continued his football journey at Elmhurst College, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees. Transitioning his career to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, John later found his passion in compliance, most recently working for NinjaTrader.

Outside of work, John enjoyed embarking on adventures with his children and recently tried zip-lining for the first time. He also loved attending concerts, especially with his wife, Katy. A dedicated fan of music, he attended concerts of various bands, with Sniper being his favorite. John cherished spending time with family, laughing, playing with his great-nephews, and making lasting memories.
