Construction continues on Bell Road as part of two separate improvement projects, both managed by “D” Construction, Inc.
The first project focuses on the section of Bell Road (CH 16) between 159th Street and 151st Street. The work includes pavement reconstruction, widening, and realignment. The contract completion date is set for July 30, 2025, with an additional ten working days allowed if needed. Utility conflicts have been addressed at specific locations on the west side of Bell Road. Plans are in place to avoid issues during noise wall foundation drilling. Current activities include excavation and hauling roadway aggregate to prepare the base on the west side.
A second project is underway at the intersection of Bell Road (CH 16) and 143rd Street. This project involves intersection widening and improvements along with an upgraded traffic signal system. The contract completion date for this phase is November 5, 2027, plus fifteen working days if necessary. Most pre-stage work has been focused on the east side of Bell Road so far, including placement of drainage structures. Installation of a temporary traffic signal will follow.
Both projects aim to improve safety and traffic flow along these key sections of Bell Road.
