Shelly Ann Kregel Ryan, aged 45, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. Born on October 20, 1979, Shelly embodied compassion, generosity, and joy throughout her life, touching the hearts of all those around her.

Shelly was a devoted wife to her husband, Carl, and a loving mother to their daughters, Emily and Tessa. Her family was the cornerstone of her world, and her unwavering love will forever be cherished by her loved ones. Shelly was the beloved daughter of Charles and Nancy Kregel, a cherished sister to Matt Kregel, and a dear aunt, friend, and mentor to many.

As an educator for 18 years, Shelly infused patience and heart into shaping young minds. Her dedication extended to fostering children, providing care and stability to seven children over five years. Shelly's nurturing spirit and boundless empathy made her a guiding presence in the lives of many.

A lover of Disney, swing dance, and Hallmark movies, Shelly radiated joy and brought a sense of fun wherever she went. In every moment, she found happiness—sharing laughter with her nieces and nephews, spending quality time with friends, and creating memories filled with love.

Even in times of illness, Shelly displayed strength and grace, embodying resilience and courage. Her everlasting spirit of selflessness and positivity will forever inspire those who knew her.

A celebration of Shelly's life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher, IL, followed by a funeral service on Monday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. A donation in support of Shelly's daughters and to honor her legacy of love and care is welcomed in lieu of flowers.
