To address the mosquito infestation and reduce frequent mosquito breeding, the City has partnered with Clarke, a recognized expert in mosquito control. Clarke will conduct periodic spraying for mosquito abatement throughout the city.
Clarke Mosquito Services is scheduled to spray for mosquito control on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Residents interested in learning more about mosquito treatment can contact the Clarke Mosquito Hot Line at 800-942-2555. Additionally, residents can register for future alerts by calling this number or visiting https://www.clarkeportal.com/.
The City acknowledges that mosquito infestations pose a public health concern and has adopted measures to eliminate nuisance and disease-carrying mosquitoes in the community. Mosquitoes are known carriers of West Nile and Zika viruses.
Residents are encouraged to help reduce mosquito-breeding habitats by eliminating stagnant water sources such as bird baths, old tires, downspout drains, pools (kiddy or abandoned), and pet drinking bowls.
