Joliet, IL – The City of Joliet has announced that as part of the Essington Road Water Valve Improvement Project, the northbound left lane on Essington Road, between Caton Farm Road and Ingalls Avenue, will be closed starting Monday, July 21, 2025. The closure is expected to last until Friday, July 25, 2025.
The city expects all lanes to reopen by 5:00 pm on Friday, July 25th. During this period, drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes.
"We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone," said a city spokesperson.
