Trees have been planted in the planter boxes along the Chicago Street corridor. Topsoil has also been placed in all constructed planter box areas, and brick pavers are being placed in the streetscape from Jefferson Street north to Cass.
For the week of July 14th, electrical work within the City Square area will continue. Concrete work on the stage structures will also proceed, alongside continued brick paver placements along the streetscape. The crosswalk on the south leg of Cass Street at Chicago Street will remain closed until brick pavers can be replaced behind the curbs. Pedestrians are directed to use the west, north, and east crosswalks at this intersection. Fence panels will be removed where brick pavers have been completed, and shade structure components within the park will be erected.
Landscaping has been placed in the planter boxes along Chicago Street, with brick pavers being installed between them.
