James Aaron Krug, age 49, of Coal City, IL, passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1976, in Joliet, IL, to Jimmie Dean and Mary Ann Krug. James had a lifelong passion for sports, excelling in football and karate. Graduating with the Class of 1994 from Coal City High School, he continued his education at Joliet Junior College and Olivet Nazarene University. James worked at United States Cold Storage in Wilmington, IL, and was known for his kind spirit and ability to make lasting connections with others.

He is survived by his parents, daughter Mia Ann Krug, girlfriend Lisa Kelly, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncle, and cousins. Preceding him in death were his grandparents and several other relatives.
