Wade McCallon, born on August 17, 1944, in Murray, KY, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 25, 2025, in Cartersville, GA. His strong work ethic was rooted in his days on the family farm, which shaped his life. Graduating from Calloway High School and later attaining an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management from Prairie State College, Wade dedicated 40 years of his life to Thrall Car Manufacturing Company. His contributions ranged from foremanship to the position of Director of Tooling & Fixturing, culminating in his retirement in 2008. Meticulous and driven, Wade found solace and community at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Wade is survived by his devoted wife Dolores, loving children Wade, Rhonda, and Donna, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by several family members. Wade's retirement introduced him to leisurely pursuits like golf, travel, and the enjoyment of sports, notably the Chicago Bulls. Viewing arrangements will take place at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, IL, on July 7, 2025, with a Funeral Mass following at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, IL.
