The Village and Channahon Park District are set to host their annual Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 3, 2025. The event will take place at Ronald D. Lehman Community Park, starting with a concert by Sundance at 6 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
Parking for the event is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional street parking options. Attendees are encouraged to carpool and plan for extra time to walk to and from the park. Patience is requested when leaving the show.
In case of bad weather, a decision regarding the event's status will be made by noon on July 3rd. Updates will be posted on the Channahon Park District's Facebook page and website.
Additionally, Village Hall will observe Independence Day by closing on Friday, July 4. Normal operations will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 7.
