The City has taken steps to address the mosquito infestation by contracting Clarke, a recognized expert in mosquito control, to manage mosquito habitats. Clarke Mosquito Services will conduct spraying throughout city streets on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Acknowledging that mosquito infestations pose public health risks, the City is proactively working to eliminate mosquitoes that are nuisances and potential carriers of diseases such as West Nile and Zika viruses.
Residents are encouraged to contribute to reducing breeding habitats by eliminating stagnant water sources like bird baths, old tires, downspout drains, kiddy or abandoned pools, and pet drinking bowls.
