Joliet, IL – The City of Joliet has announced a road closure at the intersection of Plainfield Road (US Route 30) and Ingalls Avenue as part of the Plainfield Road Water Main Improvement Project. This construction is set to begin on Friday, June 20th, and is expected to conclude by Monday, June 30th.
During this period, all traffic on Ingalls Avenue at the intersection will be closed, with a detour in place. However, one lane of traffic in each direction on Plainfield Road will remain open. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes while work is ongoing. Traffic on Raynor Avenue at the Six Corners intersection will reopen before the closure of Ingalls Avenue.
"We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone," stated city officials.
