Cynthia S. Hostert (nee Jurgens), 73, of New Lenox, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at NW Palos Hospital in Palos Heights. Born in Ottawa, IL, to Robert V. and Mary K. Jurgens, Cindy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved member of her family.

Cindy was the cherished wife of David J. Hostert, loving mother of Megan (Marcus) Bucklin and Nicholas (Samantha) Hostert, and grandmother of Abraham and Francesca Hostert. She was also the dear sister of the late Vicki Jurgens, Pamela (Joe) Shanley, and Kevin (Audrean) Jurgens. A loved aunt, cousin, and friend to many, Cindy enjoyed spending time with her three dogs, bird-watching, sewing pillows for breast cancer survivors, reading, and solving daily crossword puzzles with her husband.

With a career in early childhood education and teaching piano students for twenty years, Cindy's passion for education and music reflected her commitment to nurturing young minds. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family invites friends for visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, IL, on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 pm.
