Gerardo "Abby" Vazquez, 66, of New Lenox, passed away on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at Silver Cross Hospital. He is survived by his former wife of 38 years, Susan Vazquez, children Gerardo, Vincenzo, Victoria (Jacob) Jonker, grandchildren Braven, Harmony, and siblings Jose, Maria, Imelda, Rosario, Juanita, Martin, Rene, Fernando, Jorge, Celina, and Taurino, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Remembered for his vibrant personality and love for family, Abby was the previous owner of La Victoria Restaurant and Little Joe’s Restaurant & Pizza for over 30 years. He was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park and was known for his brightly colored attire, a reflection of his joyful spirit. In honor of Abby's vibrant nature, attendees of his service are encouraged to wear bright and colorful clothing as a celebration of his life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Abby's life at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, IL, on Friday, June 13th, 2025, from 2:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family or Feed the Children Organization are appreciated.

Gerardo "Abby" Vazquez will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will be cherished always.
