Planter curbs and walks were installed on Chicago Street from Jefferson to Van Buren last week. Asphalt patching of utility trenches on Clinton Street also began, while electrical installations within the City Square continued.

For the upcoming week, construction on the ComEd vault in front of the library is expected to be completed. Additionally, asphalt patching on Clinton, Cass, and Scott at Clinton will be finished. The construction of planter curbs and sidewalks will continue on Chicago Street from Van Buren north to Cass. Foundation work within the City Square is set to proceed as well.

Parking along Chicago Street adjacent to the work zones will be restricted while crews are actively working, with daily closures anticipated. Crews are preparing Clinton Street for asphalt patching, and masonry elements of the main stage are nearly complete.
