Installation of new water mains and associated water service connections has been finalized on the Chicago Street Corridor as reported in an update on April 28th. Additionally, storm drainage components have been successfully installed at the intersection of Chicago and Clinton.

Electrical work along Chicago Street, including the reconstruction of the ComEd vault, is ongoing. Projects planned for the week of May 5th involve continued electrical work both north of Clinton and in City Square. Foundation work for the main stage and other structures in the square is also scheduled to advance.

Moreover, the reconstruction of the ComEd vault next to the library on Chicago Street will persist. Despite the ongoing work, Chicago Street between Jefferson and Clinton will remain accessible to traffic during the day, although temporary lane closures may occur for specific tasks.

Efforts also continue with reconstructing the ComEd vault near Cass Street, and the placement of footings for the main stage has commenced.
