Beecher - Diane L. Tanis, known affectionately as Nana, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on May 22, 1951, in Harvey, IL, to Phillip and Emma Perry. Diane, a vibrant individual, was the true matriarch of her family, known for her fierce and feisty spirit that illuminated every room she entered.

She is survived by her daughters Tonya Winemiller, Dawn Winemiller, Rhonda Mazurek, Stacy Mazurek, son Ronald Mazurek, 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Fiona. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wesley Tanis, and granddaughter Genna Mayes. She has now reunited with her cherished dog Tiffany (Tiffy) across the rainbow bridge.

A celebration of life will be held at Hack - Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher on April 17, 2025, with visitation from 4pm to 8pm. Additional visitation will be on April 18 from 9am to 10am, followed by a service and burial at Skyline Cemetery in Monee. A community gathering will follow the burial service at 525 Melrose Lane, Beecher. Donations for a headstone can be made payable to Dawn Winemiller in lieu of flowers.
