Richard S. Jakush, aged 83, born in Bridgeport and currently of Orland Park, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Chwalisz) and loving father of Laurie (John) Lyons, Rick Jakush, Jeff Jakush, and Greg (Jen) Jakush. Richard was the devoted grandfather of Brett (Erin) Lyons, Kelly (Amy) Madonia-Lyons, Erinn (Patrick Owoc) Lyons, and Rebecca Jakush. He was the great-grandfather of Maisie Jean Madonia-Lyons and cherished son of the late Stanley and Kathryn Jakush. Richard was the dear brother of the late Mary (the late Robert) Krystek and special uncle of Lisa (Michael) Paige.

A longtime member of the Bridgeport 'Mothers Club,' Richard was also a lifelong devoted fan of the Chicago White Sox.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 9:15 am at Richard J Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Homer Glen, with a Mass at Our Lady of the Woods Church in Orland Park at 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 23, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
