Nominations for the Annual Joliet Historic Preservation Award are open until Friday, April 11, 2025. These awards, offered by the City of Joliet, highlight properties that have undergone recent preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation. They also recognize individuals or organizations demonstrating a commitment to historic preservation. Last year, the efforts of the Joliet Railroad Museum project and St. Peter Lutheran Church were acknowledged.
Nomination forms are available on the Historic Preservation Commission's website at www.joliet.gov/historicpreservation or can be picked up at the Community Development Department, City Hall, 150 W. Jefferson Street. Award recipients will be celebrated at a City Council meeting in May 2025.
