Nancy Gaska | O'Neil Funeral Home And Heritage Crematory - Lockport

Lockport - Nancy Gaska, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted member of the community, tragically passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Born and raised in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood, Nancy had a rich and fulfilling life dedicated to her family, faith, and volunteer work. She was an individual of immense compassion and generosity, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her.

Nancy's life journey was marked by a deep commitment to family values, service, and community engagement. She played an instrumental role in the lives of her loved ones, from her children and grandchildren to aging family members. The legacy of compassion, service, and stewardship that Nancy leaves behind is a testament to her character and the values she instilled in those around her.

Surrounded by her family, Nancy was dearly loved and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her loss is deeply felt but her spirit will continue to live on in the memories she created and the lives she touched.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Richard E. Gaska; children Gail Suffredin, Cathleen Oriatti, Martin Gaska, and daughter-in-law Denise Gaska; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Laura McCorkle, Christine Pruim, and Angela Furlano, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Stella Sokolowski, son Richard A. Gaska, and grandson Jacob Oriatti.

A Memorial Visitation and Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025, at St. Dennis Church in Lockport.
