FOIA request sent to Village of Frankfort regarding communications with Robinson Engineering, Ltd.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted this week by Will County Gazette to the Village of Frankfort for communications between village officials and Robinson Engineering, Ltd.

The request specifically seeks all written, digital, and phone communications from January 2021 to the present between any employee of Robinson Engineering, Ltd. and any employee or staff member of the Village of Frankfort, the mayor of Frankfort, and/or any member of the Frankfort Board of Trustees.

Robinson Engineering, Ltd., based in Frankfort, is a civil engineering firm founded in 1939. The company provides services in municipal engineering, transportation, water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, and land surveying. It works with various municipalities across the region, including the Village of Frankfort, according to the firm’s website.

Frankfort Village Trustee Maura Rigoni currently works as a senior planner for Robinson Engineering, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has been with Robinson since 2005 and previously worked as a planner for the Village of Frankfort from 2002 to 2005.

The FOIA request is part of Will County Gazette's ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
