Frankfort, IL - Alice V. Mendez, 93, passed away on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, at the Cottages of New Lenox. She is survived by daughters Angeline (David) Heath, Carmella (James) Kimble, grandchildren Julie Anne (Kirk) Klapperich, Charles, Jonathan (Jaci Lunsford), Chris (Kristin), Katherine (Louis), great-grandchildren Andrew, Alitza, Angelo, Ava, Paris, Maddy, Abby, Lyla, Ruby, Ivy, Violet, Daisy, Jack, Nathan, Joann, great-great-grandchildren Cameron, Isaiah, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents Jose Villarreal, Flora (Joe) Navarro (Guajardo), seven siblings, and several nieces and nephews. Alice was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort, previously worked at the Chicago Post Office, retired from U.S. Customs Service, and engaged in Senior Activities in Frankfort and Mokena communities.

Family will greet friends at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association are appreciated.
