Sharon Ann Bosek, 68, Passes Away at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital

Sharon A. Bosek, nee Gilliam, age 68, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. A resident of Joliet for 25 years and formerly of Downers Grove, Sharon was known for her love of travel, camping, and her deep devotion to family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by her husband Michael Bosek, daughters Susan Lipe and Carrie Barr, siblings Mary Spiros, Michael Gilliam, and Denise Drapala, grandchildren Raymond Lipe, Lea Tischer, Lori Tischer, Austin Lipe, and Jonathon Hanson, great-grandchildren Olivia, Emma, ReyMarie, Ronnie, and Jasper, and numerous nieces and nephews, Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Denny and Loretta Gilliam.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Home, followed by a funeral on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
