MAYOR BEN DIETZ CALLED TO ORDER THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE WILMINGTON CITY COUNCIL AT 6:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL
After the pledge of allegiance, the following answered to Roll Call: Alderpersons Kevin Kirwin, Ryan Jeffries, Dennis Vice, Jonathan Mietzner, and Todd Holmes. Alderperson Ryan Knight, Leslie Allred, and Thomas Smith were absent. The number present constitutes a quorum.
Also present: City Administrator Jeannine Smith, Finance Director Nancy Gross, and Deputy City Clerk Joie Ziller.

ORDER OF BUSINESS
Alderperson Mietzner made a motion and Alderperson Vice seconded to approve Approve Resolution No. 2024- 12, A Resolution of Financial Commitment Supporting the City of Wilmington Application for Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) Grant Funds
Discussion: City Engineer Casey McCollum explained the application process for the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) for $1.5 million in grant funds. The project includes a $300,000 city cost, with design and engineering in the first fiscal year and construction in the second. The design involves a prefabricated boardwalk along the mill race, with potential for fishing and viewing areas, while maintaining traffic access. The boardwalk will extend from Jackson Street to Van Buren Street, with a plaza area at Jackson Street.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 5 Mietzner, Vice, Kirwin, Jeffries, Holmes
NAYS: 0
ABSENT: 3 Allred, Knight, Smith
The motion carried.
