Fred Clausen Sr., age 88, a lifelong resident of Tinley Park, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 28, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, Fred had a remarkable life dedicated to hard work, family, and his passions.

Fred worked at Atlas, now Waste Management, for 36 years as a commercial garbage man, where his dedication and work ethic were highly regarded. He was also known for his love of fishing, gardening, the Chicago Cubs, and NASCAR. His outdoor activities and hobbies brought him joy, with fishing being a particular favorite.

A devoted family man, Fred had a special bond with his beloved dog, Lucky. He was a caring father to Fred Jr., Norma, John, and Shirley, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His family meant the world to him, and his legacy will live on through them.

Fred Clausen's kind nature and quiet strength endeared him to many, and his gentle side shone through more brightly as he aged. He found solace and peace through a relationship with Jesus and the Bible.

Fred is preceded in death by his siblings Donna, Barbara, Jerry, and Marie. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
