City of Joliet Finance Committee met Sept. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

ROLL CALL:

Present: Councilman Pat Mudron, Councilman Larry E. Hug and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon

ALSO PRESENT: Kevin Sing - Director of Finance and Kathy Franson - Director of Human Resource

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to approve the Minutes for August 20, 2024.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Mudron, Councilman Hug and Councilwoman Reardon

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS:

None.

REPORTS:

Kevin Sing - Director of Finance, gave an overview of TMP-7711 for the Monthly Financial Report, Invoice Exceptions and the Quarterly Report for the Joliet Area Historical Museum (JAHM). A brief discussion was held.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to approve TMP-7711, for the August Monthly Financial Report.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Mudron, Councilman Hug and Councilwoman Reardon

Mr. Sing, gave an overview of TMP-7712 on the Travel Expense Report. No further discussion was held.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to approve TMP-7712, for the August Travel Expense Report.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Mudron, Councilman Hug and Councilwoman Reardon

Kathy Franson - Director of Human Resource, gave an overview of TMP-7713 on the September Personnel Summary Report, regarding open employment positions within the City of Joliet and the Local 440 Union. A brief discussion was held.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to approve TMP-7713, for the September Personnel Summary Report.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Mudron, Councilman Hug and Councilwoman Reardon

NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION:

Councilman Hug - Inquired if Mr. Sing could present settlement invoices from lawsuits as separate agenda items for future council meetings. Mr. Sing advised that he would communicate that request to the City Manager and with Legal.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:

None.

ADJOURNMENT:

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to adjourn.
