Located adjacent to the Bolingbrook Public Works Building
Company will provide multiple conceptual designs and documentation
Proposal and all documents will meet current building codes
Project will be bid out
Village has received approval for state grant money towards this project
Cost - $68,500.00

2. Resolution (24-087) Providing for and Requiring the Submission of an Advisory Question of Public Policy Concerning Allowance of Video Gambling at a Limited Number of Establishments Within the Village of Bolingbrook to Appear on the Ballot of the Electors in the Village of Bolingbrook in Will and DuPage County, Illinois at the November 5, 2024, General Election
Since the devasting pandemic, many restaurants are still financially distressed, and video poker could provide them with a new revenue stream

1. PC 24.07 Approval of a Special Use Permit for a Planned Development, Pet Paradise, 338 Manor Court, Brooke Franco; Applicant
Convert existing home to a commercial dog kennel/boarding business and residential use of the property would cease
Site would feature a 1,500 square foot indoor kennel and play area, with a fenced rear yard for outdoor play

Offers the combination benefit of hot and cold therapy
Hours of operation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Ordinance (24-037) Approving a Special Use Permit for Commercial Recreation Facility (Fire and Ice Sauna) 726 E. Boughton Road
4. Ordinance (24-038) Amending Chapter 12 – “Businesses” Article 2, Section 39, “Licenses, Fees and Operation Restrictions” of the Village Code
Amends hour restriction for businesses to 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (formerly to 10:00 p.m.)
Allow requests for extended hours of operation to proceed directly to the Village Board for review and will no longer need a Special Use Permit

5. Ordinance (24-039) Approving Negotiated Agreement Between the Metropolitan Alliance of Police Bolingbrook Chapter #522 and the Village of Bolingbrook (May 1, 2024 – April 30, 2026) (SUBJECT TO
ATTORNEY APPROVAL)
Two-year contract will align with all other five negotiated agreements
Covers certain personnel in various departments, Community Development, Finance, Police, Fire and Executive
Includes cost of living adjustment and increase in medical insurance contribution
Allows Human Resource Coordinator and Planning and Zoning Administrative Aide to be union exempt positions
Reviewed by all relevant personnel and officials
6. Ordinance (24-040) Approving Franchise Agreement to Install Fiber Optic Cables Using the Public Way by and Between the Village of Bolingbrook and Zayo Group LLC (Subject to Attorney Approval)
Law requires a franchise agreement between the company and the Village
Terms of agreement prescribed by the Simplified Municipal Telecommunications Tax Act
Reviewed and approved by all relevant personnel and officials
7. Ordinance (24-041) Amending Chapter 32 “Law Enforcement”, Article
2, Section 21, “Police Department” of the Village Code
Recreates the Deputy Chief position in the Police Department
This is an appointed position
Deputy Police Chief will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Police Department
In absence of the Police Chief, Deputy Police Chief will assume all duties and responsibilities of the Chief’s position

8. Ordinance (24-042) Amending Chapter 6 “Compensation”, Section 4 “Staff Salaries”, Sub-Section 2 “Police Department” (6.4.2), of the Village of Bolingbrook Personnel Manual
Compensation will be 1% to 5% above a Police Commander
