The City of Joliet Public Utilities Department has announced the commencement of construction on the Cathedral Area Water Main project. As part of this phase, traffic control and safety measures will be implemented starting Tuesday, June 4, 2024. This will necessitate a detour of Raynor Avenue between Glenwood Avenue and Campbell Street via Wilcox Street for approximately seven weeks.
"We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone," stated a representative from the department.
