The City of Joliet Land Use & Legislative Committee will convene on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Joliet City Hall, located at 150 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois. The meeting's agenda includes several key items for discussion.

Citizens who cannot attend in person are encouraged to email their comments in advance to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

The meeting will begin with a roll call and the approval of minutes from the previous meeting held on May 9, 2024. There will be an opportunity for citizens to speak on agenda items; each speaker is allowed a maximum of four minutes. It should be noted that this segment is not intended as a question-and-answer period, and committee members typically do not respond to public comments during this time. The Presiding Officer reserves the right to call speakers to order if their conduct disrupts the harmony of the proceedings.

Key agenda items include:

- A review of the Comprehensive Plan Scope of Work and awarding a contract to Lamar Johnson Collaborative.

- A review of the Economic Analysis Scope of Work, awarding a contract to Urban3, and executing an intergovernmental agreement with the Joliet Arsenal Development Authority.

There will also be discussions on old and new business items that are not slated for final action or recommendation during this session.

A section for public comments regarding non-agenda items is also included in the schedule. Similar rules apply here as well; speakers have up to four minutes and it is not designed as a question-and-answer period. Disruptive behavior may result in forfeiture of speaking privileges.

The meeting will conclude with an adjournment announcement by Beth Beatty, City Manager.

This meeting location is accessible. Those requiring reasonable accommodations are advised to contact Christa M. Desiderio, City Clerk, at (815) 724-3780.

- Councilman Cesar Cardenas, Chairperson

- Councilman Pat Mudron
