CITIZENS SPEAK:

Visitors are always welcome to all public meetings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Crete. Interested parties wishing to speak should identify their intent to speak, they then may give their name and where they reside if they so choose and then make their comment. Persons may also provide their address privately to the Village Clerk if they so choose; persons are advised that addresses are considered private information under the Freedom of Information Act and thus are exempt from disclosure pursuant to any Freedom of Information Act request. However, in order to give proper consideration to all items on the agenda, the President has the authority to limit participants in debates and will close repetitive or abusive remarks. In addition, public comment rules are posted in the board room.

COMMUNICATIONS continued:

• A letter was received from the IL EPA to be posted for 30 days. It concerned the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Public Notice which is sent to all municipalities in the vicinity of the applicant: Aqua Illinois Inc.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Ordinance No. 2024- : DRAFT FORM: An Ordinance creating a new Article IV (Operation of Non-Highway Vehicles) within Chapter 25 (Traffic) of the Village Code of the Village of Crete, Will County, Illinois. Board action may be taken.

2. Consideration of a Golf Cart Application to be filled out when applying for a golf cart license. Board action may be taken.

3. Consideration and discussion of Golf Cart license fees in surrounding communities. Board action may be taken.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Consideration to waive the bidding process to Liquid Engineering Corporation to provide tank maintenance and repair services. Board action may be taken.

2. Consideration to waive the bidding process to Gen-Tec Inc. for installation of a Generac Guardian Series 48,000-watt liquid cooled generator. Board action may be taken.

3. The appointment of Chief Officers to the Crete Fire Department. Board action may be taken.

4. Results of the bid opening held on Monday, February 5, 2024 for the 2024 Beckwith Improvement Association Water Main. Board action may be taken.

5. Designation of Village of Crete Representative to the Crete Country Christmas Executive Board. Board action may be taken.

6. Consideration to join with other service providers as partners in a coordinated network of services, which mutually contributes to the betterment of services for families and individuals who are older and at risk for any reason. Requesting authorization to sign the agreement with Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. Board action may be taken.

NEXT MEETING ACTIVITY: The next regular Village Board Meeting will be held at the Municipal Building on February 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.

Other Meeting Activity: Fire & Police Commission will meet on Wednesday, February 15, 2024 at 7 pm at the Municipal Building, 524 W. Exchange Street.

Planning & Zoning Hearing will meet for a variance request on Thursday February 29, 2024 at 7 pm in the Municipal Building, 524 W. Exchange Street.

A Bid Opening for 2024 Curb & Gutter Program will be held on February 29, 2024 at 10 am in the Municipal Building, 524 W Exchange Street.

Pursuant to the open meetings act, this notice had been posted in the window of the Village Clerk’s office 48 hours prior to the meeting. No new or additional business to act upon may be added to this agenda.
