Village of Romeoville Village Board met Nov. 1.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

Roll Call

Present 6 - Trustee Dave Richards, Trustee Brian A. Clancy Sr., Mayor John Noak, Trustee Lourdes Aguirre, Trustee Linda Palmiter, and Trustee Ken Griffin

Absent 1 - Trustee Jose Chavez

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Richards, to do a consent agenda. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: 5 - Trustee Richards, Trustee Clancy, Trustee Aguirre, Trustee Palmiter, and Trustee Griffin

Absent: 1 - Trustee Chavez

Non-voting: 1 - Mayor Noak

Approval of the Consent Agenda

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Palmiter, to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion carried by the following vote:

RES23-3694 A Resolution Establishing a Development Security for the Public, Stormwater and Erosion Control Improvements associated with the NR1 Transport development located at 1385 N. Joliet Road

5. MAYOR'S REPORT

Condolences to Rich Strom and his family on the passing of his mother.

Kelly and her team did a fantastic job on Halloween Fest.

23-3223 A Proclamation Declaring World Kindness Week in the Village of Romeoville Members from Angelic Kindness were presented with the proclamation.

Mayor Noak commented that its a wonderful organization who does wonderful things.

A motion was made by Trustee Palmiter, seconded by Trustee Clancy, that this Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.

23-3224 A Proclamation Declaring Honor Our Veteran's Day in the Village of Romeoville Mayor Noak welcomed representatives from the American Legion Post 52 and presented them the proclamation.

A motion was made by Trustee Griffin, seconded by Trustee Clancy, that this Proclamation be Accepted. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.

23-3222 A Motion to Accept the Village of Romeoville's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the Fiscal Year Ended April 30, 2023

A motion was made by Trustee Palmiter, seconded by Trustee Griffin, that this

6. CLERK'S REPORT

The Community Service Council will meet next week. The VVEEF met at Romeoville Village Hall this month and focused their discussions on the March dinner. Congratulations to Christi and the Finance Department.

This Ordinance was Approved.

ORD23-1870 An Ordinance Approving a Minor Change to the Planned Unit Development - General Plan for Mercedes-Benz of Romeoville

This Ordinance was Approved.

10. BOARD COMMENTS

Trustee Palmiter- Thank you to everyone involved in Halloween Fest this year. Finley Forever is a great organization. Another excellent job to Christi and her team.

Trustee Griffin- Congratulations to our finance department on a great job.

Finley Forever shows how one person can make a difference. The Village is hosting the annual Veteran's breakfast and ceremony on Saturday, November 11th. Registration is required for the breakfast.

Trustee Clancy- The Holiday Lights Festival is December 1st and 2nd. The community basketball registration is on going until November 6th. The next meeting of the Keep Romeoville Beautiful Commission is tomorrow night.

Thank you to the Finley Foundation for all the work they do. Thank you to our Veterans.

Trustee Richards- Harvest Saturday is a great event. Angelic Kindness does a lot of good work in the community. Thank you to our American Legion. Christi and her team does an amazing job. Condolence to Rich Strom on the passing of his mother.

Trustee Aguirre- The Police and Fire Commission's next meeting is

Tuesday, November 14th. The Conservation and Sustainability Committee will meet Wednesday, November 8th. The Halloween Fest was amazing.Great job to Kelly. Condolences to the Strom family.

Congratulations to our Financial Department. Thank you to the Fire Department for partnering up with Finley Foundation. Thank you to our Veterans and to Angelic Kindness for everything you do in our community.

No Executive Session was held at this meeting.
