Neighborhood Hero Award Winners Announcement

Project Acclaim, in partnership with the City of Joliet, selected eighteen properties this year to receive a Neighborhood Hero Award. The Neighborhood Hero Award program recognizes properties with outstanding yards that include maintained lawns, flowers, shrubs, trees and hardscaping. By showing great pride in their property, these residents demonstrate great pride in their neighborhood and in our City. Winners received a celebratory yard sign and recognition at the September 5th Joliet City Council meeting. The winners are:

  • 1010 Westminster Road
  • 1158 Glenwood Avenue
  • 1208 Rowell Avenue
  • 1216 West Acres Road
  • 1319 Oneida Street
  • 1612 Mason Street
  • 3305 Aspen Court
  • 3309 Aspen Court
  • 600 Cornelia Street
  • 303 S. Willow Avenue
  • 206 Bartleson Street
  • 205 Cranberry Court
  • 805 Longwood Drive
  • 880 Copley Lane
  • 17 S. Reedwood Drive
  • 1201 Buell Avenue
Project Acclaim was founded by the Reverend James E. Allen to promote a positive image of the Joliet area by recognizing organizations and individuals who have made a difference in the community. The City of Joliet has been an enthusiastic program partner for the Neighborhood Hero Award program for several years. It is the hope of both the City and Project Acclaim that these Neighborhood Heroes will inspire other neighbors to follow their example.
