1. Land Acquisition Grant Summary Report 2023

Executive Director Schultz gave a brief summary of the grants awarded to the Forest Preserve to assist with land acquisition. Since 1980, the Forest Preserve has secured more than $10,000,000 from granting agencies including the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, and CorLands (a former subsidiary of Openlands); to assist with the preservation of nearly 2,089 acres.

2. Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement Award

3. Next Meeting Date - Thursday, August 3, 2023 immediately following the Operations Committee Meeting but no earlier than 9:15 AM at the Will County Office Building, 302 N. Chicago Street, Joliet Illinois
