Gov. J.B. Pritzker has joined forces with a group of Democratic leaders to work with and on behalf of President Joe Biden in his expected re-election campaign.
U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) recently made a speech and told the listeners that the goal is to reach specific communities to spread their vision.
“Our challenge is to get that message out to factory towns, to rural communities and communities of color," Khanna said. "We need 20, 30 surrogates from the party going out there in communities, telling stories to communicate this vision.”
Furthermore, for months there has been rumored speculation that Pritzker is to run for the White House in 2024 according to Chicago Business.
Biden's State of the Union speech initiated his reelection campaign, however, the president has yet to formally announce it. Multiple GOP contenders, including former President Donald Trump, have announced their campaigns.
Since he had no primary in his re-election run last summer Pritzker toured states like New Hampshire and Florida speaking to Democratic groups and the media. This began the speculation that he was considering a 2024 campaign.
