City of Wilmington City Council met July 5.

Call to Order
The Regular Meeting of the Wilmington City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Ben Dietz in the Council Chamber of the Wilmington City Hall.
Roll Call
Upon Roll Call by the Clerk the following members of the corporate authorities answered “Here” or “Present”:

Quorum
There being a sufficient number of members of the corporate authorities in attendance to constitute a quorum, the meeting was declared in order

Approval of the Previous Regular City Council Meeting
Alderman Vice made a motion and Alderman Jeffries seconded to approve the June 21, 2022 meeting minutes and have them placed on file

Mayor’s Report
Mayor Dietz thanked all the individuals and organizations who helped plan and volunteered at the City’s fireworks on July 1st. Mayor Dietz reminded all the Aldermen who are interested in attending this year’s IML Conference to let Joie know so reservations can be made.
Public Comment
Public Comment #1 – Elizabeth Strong requested the Council to consider amending the ordinance to allow for golf carts to cross RT 53 so the majority of town is accessible.
Planning & Zoning Commission
The July 12, 2022 at 5:00 pm is cancelled due to lack of an agenda. The next meeting is scheduled for August 4, 2022.
