City of Joliet Finance Committee met May 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

ROLL CALL:

Present

Councilman Pat Mudron, Councilwoman Sherri Reardon and Councilman Cesar Guerrero

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, seconded by

Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to approve Minutes for April 19, 2022 - Finance Committee.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Councilman Mudron, Councilwoman Reardon and Councilman Guerrero

PRESENTATION:

Tammy Edmondson, Grant Coordinator presented an update on grants discussing grants received, grants applied for and grants that are a work in progress (WIP). The Committee briefly discussed new ambulances, location of electric charging stations and coordinating grants with other departments throughout the city.

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS:

None.

Kevin Sing, Budget Coordinator reviewed the April 2022 monthly financial report. A brief discussion was held on replacement tax.

James Ghedotte, Director of Finance briefly reviewed travel expenses.

Mr. Ghedotte briefly discussed water main replacements, alternative water source, waste management and reimbursement to the Village of Minooka for the water commission.

Armando De Avila, Risk Management, discussed employment positions currently open with the City as well as summer intern positions.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, to adjourn.
